The 2014 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS took place over the Easter holidays and what a fabulous week it was! We had three ceili teams compete and our first qualifer who competed in the Under 11 Boys competition. Although a week of hard work it was so exciting to be part of this amazing week. All of our dancers learnt so much and the reality of hard hard work was shown every time a dancer took to the stage. We were lucky enough for our Under 13 team to be recalled out of approximately 60 teams and they were eventually placed 30th. They received their World recall medals and were delighted to take to the stage. We are immensely proud of each and every one of our dancers and sincerely thank the parents for their support and dedication over the past 12/18 months. To sign up to these competitions takes complete dedication and hard work, many not taking holidays when the schools have broken up to take part in extra lessons and it just shows that hard work does pay off!
The opening ceremony was one of its kind. Three of our dancers were selected to take part in the flags ceremony and the London teachers took part in the show, including both Anne and Jackie, in the dancing part! The majority of our teams were there to see the whole ceremony and it was great to see everyone there showing their support.
